Articles / Links:
Honest short blog post about a founder Jason Jacobs, who lost interest in his new startup and returned the money back to investors. Why? He took money before having a clear idea and was forced to play by VC rules. In his words, “I was longing to focus on finding my purpose first, then determining the right vessel to fulfill that purpose second. But I found that by raising venture capital from day zero, we were committed to a (venture backed software company) vessel first, and were now searching for a place to apply it. This came to feel backwards, confining, and a hindrance to figuring out my purpose, which was the most important thing for me to be doing. Not on anyone’s clock. Not with any expectations.” LINK.
Boss as a Service: a service that gives you a “boss” who holds you accountable to complete your to-do’s. Send your to-do’s, send proof you completed them, and if you don’t, they will bug you until they’re completed. Fun idea, but I bet the reminders become very annoying very quickly. LINK.

Weekend Thought:
I’ve (Greg) spent the weekend in Mexico City exploring the local markets, eating al pastor tacos, and sipping on Mezcal.
Getting around Mexico City in Ubers has been a complete game changer.
They are incredible cheap. Like $3-$8 rides.
They are reliable. Whereas local taxi drivers have a very sketchy reputation.
They are fast. Usually a 5 minute wait time.
I really appreciate how it has has enabled me to explore hidden pockets of the city without much hesitation.
Note: This was not one of the Ubers, sadly.
